Position Summary
CEC is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Labor Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for Leased and Contract Labor Employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll calculations, verifying timesheets, maintaining compliance with labor regulations, and coordinating with vendors and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, payroll experience, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for leased and contracted labor employees.
- Ensure accurate calculations of wages, overtime deductions and adjustments.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure payroll is processed in a timely manner.
- Review and verify time sheets.
- Identify discrepancies and work with supervisors or vendors to resolve issues.
- Ensure labor hours are properly coded to jobs, projects, or cost codes.
- Strong communication with staffing agencies and labor vendors to confirm worker details and pay rates.
- Maintain updated records of Leased Labor including assignments, rates, and employment dates.
- Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (Spanish strongly preferred).
- Construction industry experience a plus.

- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Requires mobility within an office environment.
- Regularly required to talk and hear. Effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including using the telephone.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
