Lease-up - Maintenance Technician

About the role

KETTLER is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at Lotus Gallacher, Calla Homes, and Vaseo Townhomes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a passion for helping people, and a desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple residential service requests daily.
• Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair by troubleshooting and repairing or restoring service within established quality and time standards; escalate issues to supervisor or outside contractor as needed.
• Participate in all maintenance projects and prepare vacant units for market-ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all property systems.
• Conduct general repairs of property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, addressing resident questions and complaints sensitively, and completing work orders efficiently and urgently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• EPA/CFC Type I & II certifications preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of apartment, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience with intermediate knowledge of HVAC, appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair.
• Valid Driver’s License and must live within 30 minutes of the property.
• Responsible for after-hours emergency maintenance calls, including nights and weekends on a rotational basis.
• Must have personal/reliable transportation and a cell phone for on-call emergencies.
• Ability to use a computer and strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Physical ability to walk grounds and apartments, ascend stairs, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities.

Pay

$24 per hour, dependent on experience.
