Lease Operator

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (“DGOC”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a US-based company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker symbol “DEC”. DGOC is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with expansion into Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

About the role

This is an entry-level or training position for a Lease Operator, working under the general supervision of a supervisor or Lease Operator Lead. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and reporting the operation of wells and sites on an assigned route. Most problems will require consultation with a supervisor to resolve.

Responsibilities

• Make routine checks on all well sites according to schedule.
• Monitor production equipment including compressors, pumpjacks, plunger lift, dehydrators, meters, separators, and safety devices; perform light maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect lease sites to ensure they are clean and free of debris and overgrown vegetation.
• Manage daily fluid production; gauge and record oil and water tank levels.
• Gather daily, monthly, and quarterly data and submit all required reports and tickets in a timely manner, meeting deadlines with few errors.
• Recognize production-related issues and work with foreman and other personnel to troubleshoot and resolve.
• Communicate regularly with production foreman on daily plans and issues; participate in periodic well reviews and safety meetings.
• Work to optimize production in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, which includes some nights and weekends.
• Check for and address spills, fluid leaks, and trip hazards.
• Ensure the company-provided vehicle is properly maintained.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective gear as required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to move or traverse job sites, including remaining stationary for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and occasionally ascending/descending ladders or uneven terrain.
• Ability to detect, perceive, and assess driving operations effectively (with or without corrective lenses).
• Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
• Repetitive movement of feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back.
• Constant use of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights.
• Lift or carry 116 lbs. or more (classified as "heavy" work, over 50 pounds).
• Frequently push and pull with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions and varying environmental conditions, including well site environments.

Driver Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for using a personal vehicle; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
• Must be eligible to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
