Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wells, tanks, pumps, and production equipment
- Perform daily inspections to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues independently
- Measure production volumes and recommend optimization improvements
- Complete accurate daily production and equipment reports
- Prepare oil tanks for sale and coordinate oil and water hauling
- Ensure compliance with OCC, BIA, BLM, OSHA, and OK DEQ requirements
- Participate in route reviews and collaborate with Foremen and Engineering
- Maintain positive landowner and community relationships
- Provide coverage for Foremen and assist with training entry-level Operators as needed
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- A Process Tech or Maintenance Tech degree is preferred
- Previous oil & gas field experience is preferred
- Knowledge of various well types and production equipment is required
- A strong safety mindset and comfort working independently are essential
- A reliable, driven, and team-oriented attitude is necessary
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR is required
- A successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory
Work Environment
- Outdoor field work in all weather conditions
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment and H2S environments
- Working independently more than 80% of the time
