Lease Operator

Operational Responsibilities

• Conducts operational assessments of assigned wells, equipment, and plant facilities
• Ensures the submission of daily assessment reports on well production, equipment performance, and maintenance activities
• Executes production tests
• Performs minor repairs
• Maintains an organized work environment at lease sites
• Monitors control panels, gauges, and meters to ensure proper equipment functioning
• Led the setup and installation of new equipment as required

Compliance and Safety

• Maintains positive relationships with local, state, and federal representatives, contractors, and surface owners
• Ensures the maintenance of all company equipment, including computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment
• Represents the company in the delivery/receipt of materials and equipment
• Maintains regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Operations Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and the Environmental Health and Safety Department
• Participates in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in lease site operations
• Reports incidents, accidents, or near misses promptly to supervisors
• Participates in incident investigations

Technical Skills

• Demonstrates proficiency in ProdView, Eagle app, Cygnet, and Pi
• Follows SOPs
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the importance of safety and regulatory compliance (especially around emissions and spills)
• Makes recommendations for the optimization of lease site operations
• Recognizes, analyzes, and resolves complex problems at lease sites
• Takes corrective action in emergency and non-emergency situations
• Contributes to operational efficiency and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education is required
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Lease Site Management, Equipment Maintenance, and Pipeline Operations or a related field
