Amazon Sort Center Learning Trainers partner with Operations Managers, Area Managers, Process Assistants, and Associates to continuously improve the long-term capabilities of their assigned area. The role focuses on measuring and enhancing production quality and quantity through targeted learning tools, maintaining expert-level knowledge in at least two production departments, and refining processes and training techniques across the Sort Center.

Responsibilities

  • Measure production quality and quantity, applying learning tools to drive improvements.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in at least two production departments.
  • Evaluate and improve processes within work areas.
  • Refine learning tools and techniques site-wide.
  • Assist in measuring the effectiveness of learning initiatives and their impact.
  • Develop associates' job-related skills using tools like methods, checklists, and skill-building agreements.
  • Identify cross-training opportunities and implement training to support objectives.
  • Support the updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SOP certification for associates and managers.
  • Drive the success of peak and non-peak training plans.
  • Deliver training to groups and individuals, ensuring understanding through feedback, visual aids, and active listening.
  • Meet time commitments and deadlines while maintaining a goal-oriented approach.
  • Provide insights to area managers and remain "customer obsessed."
  • Demonstrate a positive, "can-do" attitude and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Consistently function at 100% of expectations and understand upstream/downstream variances.
  • Use resources to expand knowledge and answer complex questions.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and standing/walking for shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
  • Work 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior training, teaching, or presentation experience.
  • Willingness to work different shifts, including non-standard production shifts.
  • Willingness to work in different areas as required by training needs.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple changing projects/priorities.
  • Willingness to participate in and support Operational Excellence initiatives.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $24.00 to $27.00 USD hourly, including base pay and the highest available shift differential. Additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay depends on shift selection and location.
