Learning & Development Specialist 1

About the role

The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for a Learning & Development Specialist 1. This is a permanent Job Share position located at the Starbase program Home | Starbase Oregon at the Portland Air National Guard Base (PANG) in Portland, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-energy, experiential STEAM instruction that inspires students to excel in scientific literacy through the execution of the mandated 25-hour DoD STARBASE curriculum.
• Function within a collaborative team model, leveraging advanced classroom technology to deliver a motivational and transformative educational experience.
• Collaborate on program operations and logistics, and interact with interagency and community partners to ensure STARBASE Oregon remains a compliant, premier educational resource for regional schools and the Oregon Military Department.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of work experience planning, organizing, or delivering employee training programs, adult learning programs, youth instructional programs, or group presentations.
• Experience must demonstrate the application of the principles and practices of learning.
• A bachelor's degree in education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, or related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference may be given to candidates with Childhood Learning experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record or have reliable alternative transportation.

Pay

Salary Range: $4,736 - $7,241
