Learning and Development Specialist (HR Specialist)

Essential Functions

  • Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required Personal Equipment (PED).
  • Organizes, conducts, and develops training programs to advance team member and leader skills, knowledge, and expand capabilities.
  • Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to training development.
  • Works with sister facilities and government entities to establish training curriculum.
  • Conducts customer reviews to identify training and development needs.
  • Oversees and supports the FAME program for the company, including advancing FAME within the community.
  • Oversees the LAUNCH program, establishing its growth, tracking trainees, evaluating attendees, and providing ongoing support/feedback to graduates.
  • Works with technical departments to implement and maintain compliance and best practices.
  • Schedule, track, and document training.
  • Prepare reports on training results and effectiveness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with team members and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, and standards.
  • Work with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to implement and maintain safety compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in training and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) skills.
  • Prior manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience in a training role is desired.
