About the Role

As a LEADS Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will work with operating units, business units, and vendors to design and manage agency storage systems, computer systems, and hypervisor environments across multiple data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain synchronous data center storage replication, computer resources, and/or hypervisor environments for high availability, offsite backup, and disaster recovery (HA/DR) between multiple data centers.
  • Troubleshoot tier III hypervisor, computer, and storage issues including kernel/module issues, storage latency, crash analysis, and orchestration problems; perform root cause analysis and lead remediation efforts.
  • Work extensively with operating units, business units, and vendors to design and manage uninterrupted power, HVAC, fire detection and suppression infrastructure, and emergency failover and failback procedures across multiple data centers.
  • Integrate fire detection and suppression systems, generators, transfer switches, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), and associated network management cards, as well as Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units and their network management cards, into third-party Building Management System (BMS) watchdogs for remote monitoring.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications (one of the following options):

  • Option 1: 60 months of combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures, and practices; recommending and/or leading IT-driven change efforts; participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines; and performing solutions design. This must include 12 months of work experience in Storage Management (the primary technology for this role).
  • Option 2: Completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems AND 42 months of combined work experience in the areas listed above, including 12 months of experience in Storage Management.
  • Option 3: Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems AND 36 months of combined work experience in the areas listed above, including 12 months of experience in Storage Management.
  • Equivalent combinations of the above qualifications may also be considered.

Note: Only applicants with experience in the required primary technology (Storage Management) will be considered.
