About the Role
As a LEADS Infrastructure Services Specialist, you will design, manage, and optimize critical infrastructure supporting the Ohio Department of Public Safety's Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS).
Responsibilities
- Design and manage VMware ESXi, KVM, and Harvester environments; deploy and optimize virtual machines; create automation for provisioning, maintenance, and reporting.
- Administer Active Directory (Domain Controllers, Organizational Units, Group Policy Objects), user/group security, domain replication, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and internal Domain Name Services (DNS) for LEADS and server communication.
- Manage NFS/SMB services, multi-datacenter share availability, Commvault backup scheduling, retention, troubleshooting, and recovery testing.
- Oversee Oracle RAC/Grid deployments, cluster configuration, ASM storage, and routine patching; ensure high availability and performance for LEADS databases.
- Manage Docker/Kubernetes clusters, container lifecycle, image pipelines, and AWS GovCloud hybrid integration to ensure proper resource allocation and service availability.
Requirements
The minimum qualifications can be met through one of the following options:
- Option 1: 60 months of combined work experience in any combination of:
- Evaluating current IT policies, procedures, and practices
- Recommending and/or leading IT-driven change efforts
- Participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines
- Performing solutions design
- Option 2: Completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems and 42 months of combined work experience in the areas listed above, including 12 months in Server Virtualization.
- Option 3: Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 36 months of combined work experience in the areas listed above, including 12 months in Server Virtualization.
- Equivalent combinations of the above qualifications may also be considered.
Note: Only applicants with experience in Server Virtualization (the primary technology for this role) will be considered.
