Leading Bridge Engineer, for COWI in North America

About the role

To support our North American team, we are looking for a Leading Bridge Engineer to join us. You will be working on exciting infrastructure projects across North America, along with our highly professional team that provides technical expertise, design leadership, project management, and specialized engineering expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in structural analysis, design, evaluation, and preparation of calculations and drawings
• Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of other structural engineers
• Prepare engineering reports along with standard documents, such as technical specifications, per applicable design codes, and work plans, schedules, and budgets
• Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact
• Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed
• Aid in preparation of proposals and participate in business development activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with 10-20 years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience on design build or capital projects
• Solid technical expertise and experience in the design and construction of complex bridges (cable-stayed, cable supported) and working with modern bridge design codes
• Registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in New York or have the ability to obtain
• Experience with 3D structural modeling with analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA
• Experience conducting site visits during construction and preparing associated observation reports as required
• Experience with preparing proposals and leading in business development

Pay

Base compensation: $121,600 to $193,800 for New York location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set, and location.
