Our Florida team is growing, and we are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to contribute to challenging and high-profile infrastructure projects across the country and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures
- Aid senior engineers in proposals, project coordination, and client communications
- Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
- Create standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents
- Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit/rehabilitation studies
- Support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits and perform other responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Hold a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, be registered as a Florida PE or can obtain within 6 months of employment, and with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent
- Familiarity with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS, LARSA)
- Knowledge of engineering software such as Excel, and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations
- Knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs, the use of programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo would be beneficial
