We serve as a critical bridge between technical innovation and business outcomes, collaborating closely with Engineering, CX, and marketing to drive market leadership. Our regional team in the DC area thrives on an inclusive culture that encourages open forums and integrates diverse insights to solve the toughest industry challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a regional team of Solutions Engineers to drive technical sales excellence and ensure total alignment with Cisco’s organizational objectives.
  • Translate technical sales initiatives into locally relevant plans by leveraging market intelligence and installed base insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and CXO-level leadership to resolve escalated client issues and secure high-value, strategic deals.
  • Oversee demand-driving events and implement modern tools to increase customer engagement and streamline the discovery and consultation process.
  • Provide consistent coaching and mentorship to spark innovation and ensure the team consistently achieves its quota and performance goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering role.
  • 5+ years in the Networking industry (Observability, Security, Networking).
  • Experience as a Technical Lead and Strategist for complex, enterprise customers.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Previous supervisory or people management experience.
  • Experience working with the U.S. Federal government or large enterprise corporations.
  • Background overseeing technical sales management activities for a specific region or team.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with high-level stakeholders, such as CXOs and IT Directors.
  • Proven track record managing complex, extended sales cycles exceeding one year for strategic accounts.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across diverse business units to achieve long-term growth and technological evolution.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $218,600.00 to $286,100.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.

Full salary ranges by location:

  • New York City Metro Area: $229,000.00 - $344,700.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $218,600.00 - $329,000.00

For quota-based sales roles, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

    • Exempt employees: Flexible vacation time off with no defined limit (subject to business limitations).
    • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours carried forward.
    • Additional paid time away for critical or emergency family issues.
    • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • Annual bonuses for non-sales roles, subject to Cisco’s policies.
  • Sales roles: Performance-based incentive pay split between quota and non-quota components.
