Lead Water / Wastewater Engineer-SW Region
About the role
WSP Water has a career opportunity for a Lead Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our full-service Design Center team in Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer to expand project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering services in support of planning, studies, analysis, and design of water treatment and distribution systems, as well as wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.
- Setup and perform hydraulic modeling for water and sewer systems.
- Work with CAD designers to prepare plans/drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems using industry-standard design platforms.
- Coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations & prepare written reports.
- Occasional field work and travel to project sites may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Masters degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) required; AZ PE preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated engineering experience in small or large sized, multi-disciplined water/wastewater projects, including responsibility for client interactions.
- Proficiency in detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.
- Successful engineering project delivery with respect to scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Senior Engineer positioned to add project management to their responsibilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings, or project field sites. Approximately 5% overnight travel.
Qualifications

Benefits
Compensation Expected Salary (Colorado only): $111,200 - $198,220.
