Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead will oversee daily warehouse responsibilities across all assigned areas. Key tasks include picking and staging customer orders, counting and cross-checking orders, replenishing warehouse locations, organizing the warehouse, preparing finished goods, delivering products, cycle counting, and other tasks as directed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor with warehouse checks and cycle counts, reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment for material movement within the distribution center.
- Complete daily vehicle inspection reports and charge vehicles after use.
- Manage daily workflow as directed by supervisor, recognizing and escalating issues.
- Aid Receiving Clerk with receiving inbound shipments into Oracle, solving receipt issues.
- Train new team members and report progress to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintain professional communications with customers, customer service, and management during returns processing.
- Enter productivity data daily and assist with replenishments to maintain picking efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and neatness in all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with management and department personnel on key issues.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and perform general housekeeping duties.
- Be flexible to travel to other network facilities for emergency support.
- Drive a 26ft box truck safely and perform basic math calculations.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years warehousing experience.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current forklift experience preferred (sit-down and stand-up).
- Electric pallet jack experience preferred.
- Strong Oracle knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to safely operate a 26ft box truck.
