About the role
As a Lead UX Designer, you will contribute to and lead the design of our digital products. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and UX Research colleagues, you will apply your extensive skills and experience to create high-quality designs across all stages of the UX design process, including ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with research, senior stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma, aligned with our established Design System
- Ensure designs follow best practices and use research and testing to inform and validate decisions
- Confidently challenge the status quo, encouraging teams to address root causes for the best user outcomes
- Apply a positive and constructive attitude when giving and receiving feedback
- Deliver high-quality design assets to the engineering team with clear guidance to ensure full understanding
- Provide ongoing support to engineering through regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality and design fidelity
- Stay up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
- Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG accessibility standards
- Deliver on time, identifying and managing risks to meet timelines, and escalating when necessary
- Lead by example, supporting, training, and developing junior team members
- Moderate conflicts between colleagues and/or stakeholders, guiding toward constructive resolution
- Take a leading role in the wider UX community, helping to define our standards and practices
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall experience
- 7+ years of industry UX Design experience
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience on complex, enterprise-scale or consumer design projects
- Creative flair and a strong eye for design
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding proficiency in professional design tools (Figma)
- Experience working with and contributing to Design Systems
- Proven ability to leverage AI-enabled design tools and workflows strategically, including generative design, AI-assisted prototyping, and intelligent design systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in financial or complex applications
- Experience with agile methodology
- Financial services industry and commercial banking experience
- Master’s degree
Pay
Full-time salary range: $153,600.00 - $230,400.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
