Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your human factors expertise and knowledge of principles and standards to tackle critical healthcare technology challenges.
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research to gather insights about user needs and validate design effectiveness against usability and safety goals.
  • Lead investigations of dynamic interactions across various clinical roles and settings, ensuring all activities meet regulatory standards.
  • Produce research outcomes that directly influence product strategy and design, validating safety and effectiveness of Oracle Health solutions.
  • Collaborate with UX Design and Product leaders to ensure designs meet end-user requirements and adhere to best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Ergonomics, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of user research experience in software, preferably in safety-critical or regulated sectors; healthcare software experience is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in research methods and a solid understanding of human factors principles and usability best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex insights to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant fields such as Psychology or Human-Computer Interaction.
  • 7+ years of experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience with healthcare software design evaluation and familiarity with human factors standards.
  • Proficient in research tools like UserZoom and Qualtrics.

Additional Information

This role is based in the United States and offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work, depending on team needs. Availability between 8am-5pm Central Time is recommended. The position requires proficiency in English and offers a competitive salary range from $91,400 to $187,000 per annum, plus potential bonuses and equity.
