- Oversee daily operations of the medical team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care, including medication management and health education.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring they are adequate and used efficiently.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to address complex patient cases and develop treatment plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in correctional healthcare settings.
- Experience in supervisory roles and team management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
