Lead the Team RN Medical Administrator

About the role

This position serves as the RN Medical Team Administrator at the Boone County Jail. You will lead a dedicated team, drive quality patient care, and enjoy a predictable weekday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement protocols for inmate health and wellness.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and performing basic medical procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with inmates, staff, and external healthcare providers.
• Conduct regular assessments of inmate health needs and coordinate with healthcare providers outside the facility as necessary.
• Ensure all medical records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• At least 2 years of experience in a correctional healthcare setting or equivalent.
• Experience in supervising a team of healthcare professionals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
