About the role
The Lead Technical Product Owner serves as the bridge between business strategy, product vision, architecture, and engineering execution. This role is responsible for driving the technical product roadmap, defining scalable solutions, managing product backlogs, and ensuring successful delivery of complex enterprise capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the technical product backlog, roadmap, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Translate business objectives into technical capabilities, features, epics, and user stories.
- Drive backlog refinement, PI planning, release planning, and sprint execution activities.
- Prioritize features, enhancements, technical debt, and operational improvements based on business value and risk.
- Establish clear product goals, success metrics, and delivery milestones.
- Act as the primary technical product owner for assigned products and platforms.
- Lead solution architecture discussions and ensure alignment between design and implementation.
- Define and review High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) artifacts.
- Assess technical feasibility, dependencies, and implementation risks.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to establish scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Drive modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Own end-to-end integration strategy across enterprise applications and platforms.
- Define data flow architecture, API contracts, integration patterns, and interface specifications.
- Ensure alignment between upstream and downstream systems.
- Partner with architects and engineering teams to establish reusable integration standards and best practices.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver seamless customer and business experiences.
- Own operational readiness, platform stability, and service reliability.
- Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts.
- Troubleshoot application and integration issues using logs, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Ensure timely resolution of production issues and drive preventative improvements.
- Partner with SRE, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve platform performance and reliability.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, security, and resiliency.
- Drive secure design practices and ensure compliance with corporate security standards.
- Validate authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and audit readiness initiatives.
- Coordinate end-to-end testing strategies across multiple systems and teams.
- Ensure release readiness through comprehensive validation and stakeholder alignment.
- Support deployment planning, production cutovers, and post-release monitoring.
- Partner with QA teams to improve testing automation and quality processes.
- Lead or actively support consumer onboarding and enhancement requests.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and partner teams.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and remove delivery blockers.
- Help keep teams aligned, focused, and on track to meet commitments.
- Champion AI adoption across product and engineering teams.
- Drive the use of AI as the default approach for routine tasks, documentation, analysis, troubleshooting, and development activities.
- Educate teams on effective AI usage, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and speed through AI-enabled solutions.
- Measure and communicate productivity gains achieved through AI adoption.
- Ensure code repositories and applications can be successfully built and executed within local development environments.
- Maintain hands-on understanding of system architecture, deployments, and troubleshooting processes.
- Review application logs, monitoring dashboards, and diagnostic information as needed.
- Support engineering teams in identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Maintain sufficient technical depth to participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge on the entity relationship in PostgreSQL with experience in determining data integrity issues across multiple applications.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, systems integration, or product ownership.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Lead.
- 2+ years experience with writing DB scripts for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong experience with Agile and SAFe delivery methodologies.
- Experience with API-based architectures and enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software development practices.
- Experience with production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to read code, understand architecture, and collaborate effectively with development teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting the issues using logs, DB queries and knowledge on monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk etc.
- Understanding of event driven architecture.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, App Insights, or similar tools.
