Lead Product Owner
Key Responsibilities
- Owes the vision, strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for multiple or highly complex products.
- Owns and manages product backlogs for a product group, prioritizing work based on user needs, stakeholder expectations, and business value.
- Operates with a high level of autonomy, managing multiple product efforts simultaneously while partnering closely with the business to understand pain points and shape strategy.
- Develops a deep understanding of the business domain, product areas, and data required to inform decision-making.
- Leverages data and research (including primary research and experimentation) to uncover user insights and drive product value.
- Buils strong partnerships with business stakeholders, engineering, architecture, and UI/UX teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Leads product planning processes, including development of user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases for releases.
- Maintains a prioritized backlog aligned to product strategy and resource capacity, using analytics to inform prioritization.
- Partners with UI/UX teams to guide user experience design and ensure intuitive, high-value interactions.
- Defines and monitors release goals, prioritization, and iteration plans.
- Identifies, escalates, and resolves risks, issues, and blockers that could impact delivery or product success.
- Leads complex product launches, including stakeholder coordination, launch planning, and execution.
- Coordinates user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
- Develops product documentation, release notes, and training materials to support adoption.
- Tracks product performance, analyzes metrics, and incorporates feedback into continuous improvement cycles.
- Conducts post-launch reviews and drives enhancements based on user insights and performance data.
- Collaborates with internal and external users to identify and resolve product issues.
- Establishes and evolves methods for tracking product success, including metrics and reporting improvements.
- Monitor performance trends to identify opportunities, gaps, and lifecycle decisions.
- Represents the product team in stakeholder forums and business reviews, providing expert insights to shape strategy.
- Coaches and mentors junior product management team members.
- Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to establish best practices and improve product development processes.
- Stays current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product management best practices.
