Lead Technical Business Analyst
About the role
The Lead Technical Business Analyst will support the evaluation, implementation, and improvement of market data systems and workflows across the Americas region. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, developers, and external data providers to gather requirements, analyze business needs, lead projects, and ensure the accurate delivery of financial market data products.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while driving solutions from concept through implementation.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs covering multiple Refinitiv's networks and products.
- Constant and proactive review of the Market Place through research and vendor alerts/notices from stock exchanges/contributors.
- Make decisions on whether new projects are required for the company and segregate into the categories listed above.
- Work directly with programmers to recommend the development or modification of computer programs, database structures, and data dictionary content.
- Gather requirements from various business segments to create product specifications for developers and organize the test cases (documenting the steps) which arise from them.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings and cross-train with other team members.
- Work as a team to document, track, and produce reports for all projects pertinent to the group.
- Provide regular feedback regarding changes in scope to current project list with respect to changes that may impact client organizations.
- Lead project delivery of new systems and workflow implementation, produce project planning and thereafter regular project status reporting.
- Lead project task development, Quality Assurance and resolve dependencies.
- Identify project risks and issues, propose mitigation actions and ensure high priority items are raised to project steering committee for decision making.
- Able to establish successful and productive working relationships with a diverse set of personalities.
Requirements
- Exceptional requirements gathering and documentation ability.
- High attention to detail concerning data, testing and analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of project management and systems analysis methodologies.

- Interest in worldwide financial markets.
- The ability to lead multiple projects with shifting priorities in a real-time environment.
- Must grasp concepts quickly.
- Proficiency and interest in technical concepts essential.
- Self-motivated and the capability to work without supervision.
- A wide degree of creativity, latitude and perseverance is expected.
- Knowledge of Finance industry.
- Analytical & understanding of strategic business issues.
- Understand data & Information Architecture.
- Experience with Production systems.
- Experience in a high volume, real-time transaction-based environment.
