Lead Tech / Crew Chief

Position Overview

Maintains and inspects tasks for restoration jobs to ensure completion of drying, demolition, and various restoration activities. Prepares and reviews documentation according to company policies and procedures. Explains processes to customers and resolves issues.

Job Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders and ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck.
• Arrives at the work site and completes assigned jobs according to company processes and carrier standards.
• Maintains quality control and manages technicians assigned to the job.
• Daily monitors and performs required activities on all active jobs.
• Explains processes to customers and provides next steps in person using printed materials.
• Interfaces with adjusters in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions about the loss.
• Completes sketch and scope sheet for estimates, uses mobile software to enter drying records, and obtains customer signatures for approval.
• Resolves customer issues, communicates with key company staff, and prepares/reviews documentation as required.
• Ensures safety standards are being followed during all active jobs.
• Trains new technicians or key operational team members.
• Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform.
• Follows product label usage instructions.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of disaster restoration or construction industry.
• Proficient with using mobile software to enter data.
• Experience with Xactimate is preferred but not required.
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Training and managing others experience preferred.
• Certifications preferred but not required: ASD, FSRT, OCT, WRT.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Must be prepared to move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Lift, squat, crawl, and crouch is required.
• Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
• Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions.
• Exposed to various environmental conditions including changes in temperature and humidity.

Compensation

$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
