Responsibilities
- Moves up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
- Wears respirator and safety gear when job conditions warrant.
- Directs daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors.
- Performs and verifies moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations.
- Determines appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management.
- Sets up, monitors, and adjusts drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment.
- Oversees controlled demolition and removal per approved scope.
- Enforces PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control.
- Conducts quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs.
- Documents moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software.
- Communicates professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
- Trains, mentors, and evaluates technicians at all skill levels.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
- Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation.
- IICRC WRT and FSRT required; ASD, AMRT, or additional certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behavior.
- Experience with insurance-driven restoration and adjuster coordination.
- Proficiency in restoration documentation and job management software.
- Experience assisting with job scoping, supplements, and scope validation.
