Lead Systems Application Engineer

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary interface for customers, delivering exceptional experiences and building long-term relationships.

Lead and manage customer-facing Demand Response deployment projects

• Ensure successful implementation and measurable impact on energy usage and grid stability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Eaton Support, and Deployment Teams to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions
• Act as a connector across the organization, aligning teams and driving outcomes that support both customer success and grid modernization
• Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the deployment lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of utility experience
• Experience working directly with customers, including ownership or support of key customer accounts
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running a demand response program
• Experience with Radio Frequency and Cellular Communications Systems
• Experience with Communications Hardware, Firmware, and Enterprise Software systems
• A solid networking knowledge of computer communications including TCP/IP, SSH, and other protocols

Position Success Criteria

• Mentor project team members with less experience to improve their abilities and performance
• Perform light lifting of 40 lbs. or less
• Knowledge of front-end scheduling, engineering, and manufacturing process and lead times

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

This is a remote role with up to 50% travel. Candidates must reside in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, or Texas.
