Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians during surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgeon throughout the case
• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining sterile fields for operative procedures
• Serving as a resource and mentor to Surgical Technologists and OR team members within the service line
• Ensuring proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instrumentation
• Collaborating with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Assisting with cleaning, stocking, and preparation of operating rooms and surgical equipment between procedures

Requirements

• Vocational Degree Required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSA
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSAT
• Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT - NCCT
• Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT - NCCT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Qualifications

• Experience in a surgical setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures
