Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and prepare accordingly
• Prepare and dispose of specimens and instruments
• Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Participate in call as required

Requirements

• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred (NBSTA or NCCT, but not required)
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist Experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
