Job Summary

Valley View hospital is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to assist our Providers with high-level, complex cases. The successful candidate will assist nursing staff and physicians during procedures, manage endoscopic equipment, and perform various patient support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and physicians during procedures
• Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting of equipment
• Set up rooms for procedures
• Transport patients as needed
• Stock rooms with supplies and equipment
• Absorb patients into appropriate attire and assist with ambulation as directed
• Absorb patients into appropriate attire and assist with applying EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximetry

Requirements

• BLS endorsed by the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date
• 1 year of Endoscopy Tech experience is required
• Advanced Case Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred
• Must be Registered with DORA as a Surgical Tech prior to starting
• SGNA or IAHCSMM Certification must be obtained within 6 months
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification must be obtained within two years of hire
• Available to take rotating call

Pay

• PAY RANGE $23.88-$35.12/hour
• Starting wage dependent upon experience, education/certifications, and skill set
• $2.25/hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm
• $4.00/hour night shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 11:00pm - 7:30am
• $2.25/hour weekend differential when working 5 or more continuous hours between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Sunday
• Annual Bonuses based upon organizational and individual performance

Schedule

• Full time - 40 hours/week
• With call rotation
