About the Role
Support safe and effective invasive surgical procedures under medical and nursing supervision.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate sterile techniques and manage surgical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with advanced operative procedures.
- Serve as a preceptor for staff and students.
- Ensure proper sterile field setup.
- Perform instrument and supply counts.
- Assist with medication administration within the sterile field.
- Verify sterilization processes.
- Contribute to staff education, inventory management, and quality safety initiatives.
- Respond promptly to emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with policies and standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified as CST, CSA, or CSFA.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of surgical technology experience.
Skills
- Expertise in surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Equipment troubleshooting and infection control.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of sterilization and reprocessing.
- Capacity to teach and mentor others.
