Lead Surgical Technician
Job Summary
As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you'll take on a vital leadership role in the OR, guiding your team and ensuring patients receive the safest, most advanced surgical care. You'll work alongside a highly experienced, collaborative surgical team, bringing order, precision, and confidence to the operating room.
Qualifications
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred (CST) or equivalent.
- Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
- 1 years experience Required
Responsibilities
- Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure.
- Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment.
- Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices.
- Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases.
