Position Summary

Leads are responsible for the day-to-day Janitorial operations and activities to ensure conformance to contract requirements. Performs supervisory and routine janitorial activities at an assigned building, hospital, warehouse, shopping mall, school or other facility to maintain buildings, common areas, locker rooms and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspections, quality control measures, and the inventory control of equipment and supplies for the assigned building
• Handle client communication and satisfaction, working closely and directly with clients on a daily basis
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor stripper, buffer and polisher, carpet shampooer, scrubbers and power blower as assigned
• Respond to emergency cleanups such as spills and bodily fluids
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain regular attendance

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar capacity and environment
• Minimum of (2) years managing janitorial operation and experience in a service/customer oriented environment
• Technical knowledge of all aspects of janitorial service delivery
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Flexibility with hours and schedule

• Ability to use cleaning materials, equipment and methods according to predetermined standards
• Walk, bend, lift, push and stand for extended periods of time
• Work cooperatively with others

Physical Demands

• Stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting and/or moving a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment and trash
• Ability to safely use equipment provided
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
