Lead Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Effectively interact with the customer at all levels.
• Seamlessly fill in for site manager in his absence.
• Show strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
• Lead the team and coach supervisors as needed.
• Interact effectively with the Union.
• Show strong knowledge of paint shop operations and the cleaning process.
• Show innovative thinking and implementation.
• Show excellent planning skills.
• Understand and follow the principle of managing by walking around.
• Create Excel documents.
• Create/implement/follow through with corrective action plans.
• Conduct a walk-through with supervisors to coach them on areas needing improvement.
• Plan and coordinate shut-down activities from planning work, supplies needed, procurement, outside help needed, communicating with the Union, etc.
• Effectively communicate with site manager and necessary parties' days activities at the end of shift or during the shift as required.
• Attend and participate in daily/weekly/bi-weekly meetings in site manager's absence.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years of industry-related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of all equipment used on the job site as well as all personal protective equipment, safety supplies, policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
