About the role
We are seeking a Lead Staff Accountant to join our dynamic corporate finance team. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others succeed.
Responsibilities
- Master the Reconciliations: Drive accuracy and integrity in monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Navigate Complex Data: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in high-volume general ledger data.
- Drive the Close: Work closely with the accounting manager and team to ensure an efficient and accurate monthly close process.
- Streamline and Optimize: Identify and implement improvements in internal controls and workflow efficiency.
- Support the Big Picture: Assist with annual corporate audits, coordinate field testing, and prepare tax-related schedules.
- Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and support to junior staff accountants, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume corporate or enterprise setting.
- Advanced technical proficiency with Excel and experience working with major enterprise resource planning systems (Acumatica preferred).
- The ability to quickly adapt to new business models and understand complex data streams independently.
- A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (Acumatica preferred).

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
