About the role
The GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) group within Analog Devices is responsible for pioneering high-speed connectivity solutions for the automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics industries. We provide solutions that enable video, data, and audio transmission over a single cable, simplifying designs and enhancing the overall performance and reliability of electronic systems. We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Strategic Marketing Manager to join our GMSL team to drive the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that promote our GMSL solutions in Automotive markets. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand and growth trajectory of our GMSL product portfolio, while also identifying market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning and messaging.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to support the growth of GMSL products and solutions, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
- Identify and investigate new or emerging markets and applications to extend SAM and drive future growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in the automotive market segment, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their challenges and develop solutions.
- Define and communicate the value proposition of GMSL solutions, ensuring clear and effective messaging that resonates with target audiences.
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, define pricing strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, and product management) to ensure successful market entry.
- Provide sales teams with the tools, training, and collateral they need to effectively sell GMSL products and solutions. Work closely with sales leadership to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. Drive go-to-market strategies, RFIs / RFPs / RFQs and execute design win plans.
- Enhance brand visibility for GMSL solutions through digital marketing, industry events, trade shows, webinars, and other marketing channels.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing programs and initiatives, using data and insights to continually optimize and improve effectiveness. Support leadership team in forecast and business reporting.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, and other internal teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution of marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Master’s in Business Administration with engineering background or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in related product marketing, applications, strategic marketing, or business development role, ideally within the semiconductor, electronics, or technology industries.
- Experience with articulating technical concepts and value propositions to customers and discussing system requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and self-starter mindset to drive new businesses.
- Ability to work across a large organization and diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel for customer and partner meetings as required (10% of the time).
Skills
- Strong business acumen with awareness of best marketing, research, and business planning practices.
- Strong knowledge of GMSL technology, high-speed Automotive connectivity, Consumer Video, Vehicle E/E architecture, and Infotainment systems in cars.
- Experience with Go-to-Market strategies and brand building.
- Track record of working cross-functionally with business units, digital/ecommerce, ecosystem partners, and sales.
