Lead Specialist - Operations Training (Nights)

About the role

The Operations Training Specialist supports start-up activities to bring the area into service, focusing on aseptic isolator barrier filling. They become experts in their area, educating teams on facility operation and continuously improving training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement training programs for Parenteral operations (Filling)
• Provide continuous improvement initiatives and strive to create the most effective/efficient training environment
• Evaluate existing employees and on-board/upskill new hires in both startup and commercial production phases
• Create and execute training schedules for operations personnel in the Parenteral Operations department

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to effectively communicate (electronically, written and verbal)
• Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS office)
• STEM degree or certifications preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in operations/pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
• Experience in operations or manufacturing environments
• Aseptic filling, single use assemblies, isolator technology
• Automated, semi-automated, and/or manual visual inspection process
• Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release
• Continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma methodologies)
• Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
• Flexibility - the ability to troubleshoot and triage challenges
• Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS office)

Additional Skills/Preferences

• Leadership and the ability to train / educate team members
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
• Previous experience working in operations/pharmaceutical industry
• Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
