Lead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement

About the role

Manage the buying process for a defined set of goods and suppliers supporting multiple internal Wind customers as a Lead Buyer for Pensacola site. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Responsibilities

• Place and follow-up on POs for assigned commodities and suppliers according to global sourcing fulfillment operation strategy.
• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
• Manage problems and schedule changes.
• Update ERP.
• Build and maintain a common line of balance for the site.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline; use prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
• Act as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills.
• Communicate with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members; explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
• Prioritize information for data analysis and use technical experience and analytical thinking to support decision-making.
• Impact projects, processes and procedures in own field; operate with some autonomy focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
• Utilize technical expertise and judgement to solve problems; leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
• May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.
• Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.
