Lead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement

About the role

As a Lead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement, you will be the main point of contact for suppliers for all activities related to the execution of direct materials supplies. You will work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and related documents and identify and implement continuous development programs to improve their performance, capacity, and capability. You will solve complex problems, execute objectives, and support short-term and long-term business goals while demonstrating leadership in communicating business goals and results.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of materials for assigned suppliers, monitor production plans, and coordinate logistics until receiving into systems, in line with company processes and procedures.
• Provide visibility to internal customers on supplier plans, prevent criticalities, and manage priorities to ensure achievement of services and manufacturing sales plans, including quick execution during customer outages and emergencies.
• Cooperate with suppliers, service fulfillment, manufacturing operations, project managers, quality, and engineering to define preventive actions and recovery plans for business urgencies.
• Support supplier execution, keep key metrics updated in systems, and coordinate with material management to support inventory management, sales plans, and programs for services ODB reduction.
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to ensure on-time delivery of all documentation associated with supplied materials.
• Interact with the procurement organization platform and operating units to provide regular feedback on supplier performance and refine supplier strategy.
• Partner with quality teams to support supplier surveillance and resolve issues on time.
• Cooperate with the logistics team to generate the best transportation plans to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Support vendor recovery negotiations, results, and account payable resolution on invoice issues.
• Support key procurement initiatives through continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements.
• Act as a regional key interface in the global supplier execution organization, fostering synergies in global supplier management, best practices, and adherence to corporate procurement policies.
• Support the deployment of tools and systems for the new Procurement FF GTS organization in North America and drive process optimization and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or an alternative MBA.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, and/or Commercial, with preferred knowledge of oil and gas products.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to drive execution, influence internal stakeholders, and guide peers’ growth.
• Ability to quickly adapt to learning and consolidate new products, business areas, and managed commodities.
• Strong attitude and open mindset focused on partnership, inclusivity, proactivity, and fast innovation to embrace cultural transformation.
• Stress resilience with a professional attitude and experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a complex working environment.
• Ability to maintain workload management in high-pressure environments by organizing and prioritizing tasks subject to criticalities.

• Willingness to travel both regionally and internationally to work with suppliers (up to 20% travel required).
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
