Job Description

• Accept food orders, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents and/or guests in a timely manner in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.
• Actively buss tables and reset tables in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards.
• Complete assigned side work and check out with manager at the completion of shift.
• Collaborate with all staff to ensure timely room service according to the Tray Service/Pick Up policy.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions of work areas, china, and equipment.
• Comply with all state and local health codes for food handling.
• Inspect that end‑of‑shift duties are completed by staff.
• Adhere to the personal hygiene policy.
• Attend all required training, in‑service sessions, and staff meetings.
• Meet all department training standards through regulatory training and/or other necessary training modules as required.
• Train and/or revisit training with staff.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co‑workers.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent accidents in food preparation and back‑injury, as outlined in the department safety policy.
• Maintain budgets by avoiding waste of products and time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but previous food‑service experience is a plus.
• ServSafe or other required local, county, or state certifications.
• Ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• Pride in the quality and presentation of food and the cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Generous patience and the ability to effectively communicate with many different personalities.
