Lead Server

About the role

Lead a team dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences that nourish, comfort, and bring joy—while supporting the well-being of the residents who call our communities home. Community First Solutions is seeking a Lead Server to join our dining services team at our Westover senior living community. As Lead Server, you'll play a key leadership role in supervising our dining team and ensuring every resident receives an exceptional, resident-centered dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Chef Manager and work closely with the Hospitality Manager.
• Oversee daily dining room operations.
• Assign and monitor server duties.
• Support training of new team members.
• Step in to deliver hands‑on service—from greeting residents to meal and beverage service—when needed.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and dietary compliance throughout the dining room.

Requirements

• Previous serving experience required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards; ability to follow dietary guidelines and diet cards.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout shift.
• Dependable, organized, and team‑oriented.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 1 year of related experience preferred, ideally in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Licenses or other required certifications: None.

Pay

Starting at $16/hr, based on years of experience.

Schedule

Open availability required (weekdays, weekends, holidays, AM/PM shifts).
