Lead Safety

About the role

At Ervin Cable Construction, LLC, as a Lead Safety, you’ll serve as a senior safety leader, driving safety strategy, mentoring team members, and coordinating safety practices across field and office environments.

Location: Sherman, TX.

What You’ll Do

• Oversight of regional or multi-site safety programs
• Mentoring and coaching analysts and field safety specialists
• Leading investigations for serious incidents and near-misses
• Coordinating internal audits and regulatory inspection readiness
• Developing and delivering custom safety training materials
• Creating strategic reports and briefings for senior leadership
• Representing the company in external safety forums and with regulators
• Driving continuous improvement of safety metrics and practices
• Leading the implementation of new safety tools and systems
• Fostering a strong safety culture across all levels of the business

What You’ll Need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A high school diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in safety leadership, field safety operations, or data-driven program management
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, utility safety regulations, and field conditions
• Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 preferred
• Proven ability to influence culture and lead cross-functional initiatives
• Valid driver’s license; must travel to various job sites

• Maintain a satisfactory driving record while in the position, as consistent safe driving behavior is essential when training or setting an example for others
• Routinely: Climb stairs, complete and maintain training, use keyboard/mouse, lift 10–25 pounds, stand, walk, work alone in remote locations, operate vehicles
• Occasionally: Lift 26–55 pounds, bend/stoop, perform repetitive hand movements, use portable ladders, work at heights, work in confined spaces, work with arms above shoulder level, operate heavy machinery
