About the Role
Lead and coordinate shift operations by overseeing daily workflow, delegating assignments, monitoring task progress, and ensuring team adherence to hospital policies and regulatory procedures. Deliver advanced clinical and emergency care by performing full Respiratory Therapist duties following age-specific guidelines and providing rapid initial response in emergency situations. Train and mentor staff as a technical and functional resource, leading orientation, hands-on training, and skill development of assigned team members. Support team performance and compliance by providing input for staff evaluations while consistently maintaining required annual mandatory competencies.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or job transfer date – American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire or job transfer date
- Education/Experience (one of the following):
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience
- 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
