About the role

The Rental Lead manages the overall day-to-day operation of all Ski/Snowboard rentals, including merchandising, financial management, sales staff supervision, and store management. This role oversees hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of store personnel, while driving sales growth, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of retail/rental operations, including a high-volume seasonal rental shop and ski/snowboard repair/tuning center
• Manage a team of up to 50 frontline staff and a leadership team of 5-6
• Maintain a strong culture of guest service to enhance the resort experience
• Provide consistent feedback, coaching, and professional development for team members
• Design, execute, and track training plans for new associates
• Ensure the department and staff have all necessary supplies
• Collaborate with other departments to align with resort initiatives
• Create operational plans for special events, groups, and holidays
• Identify sales opportunities and develop action plans
• Handle administrative duties, including payroll processing via a digital platform
• Manage retail inventory, rental inventory, and supplies with cost efficiency in mind
• Hire staff and oversee scheduling

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (required)
• 2 years of retail/rental experience (preferred)
• 2 years of resort experience in a management role
• Knowledge and passion for snowsports
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Minimum age: 18 years

Pay

Starting wage: $23.00/hour

Schedule

Full-time hours available for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027.
