Lead Rehab Technician - WWE [1st shift]
About the role
Hope Network's Neurological Rehabilitation department offers a supportive residential environment for individuals recovering from brain or spinal cord injuries. As a Neuro Rehabilitation Technician, you will contribute significantly to your clients' recovery journeys by providing person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Aids in creating schedules for both staff and resident’s needs.
- Serves as a mentor to newly hired staff members.
- Assists in documenting for various business purposes.
- Maintains safety 24/7, ensuring clients are safe through various monitoring methods.
- Fosters a collaborative relationship with clients, the community, and other professionals.
- Helps build skills for problem-solving, communication, and independence.
- Assists clients in participating in social and leisure activities.
- Supports clients with Activities of Daily Living, including transportation, cooking, dressing, bathing, grooming, and medication management.
- Maintains health by monitoring vitals, promoting positive behavior, attending medical appointments, and overseeing medication needs.
- Connects clients with community opportunities and supports their employment, educational, and volunteer goals.
Requirements
- Two-year degree or minimum 2 years’ equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
- Commitment to scheduled shifts, assigned duties, and performance expectations.
- Basic computer skills.
