Lead Registration Scheduler Cardiac Arrhythmia

Responsibilities

• Oversees the shift-to-shift responsibilities of the Medical group staff.
• Prepares the Department schedule, accepts sick calls as needed and modifies the schedule accordingly.
• Serves as a resource for employees in regards to all pertinent admission, registration, patient scheduling, medical records management and software applications.
• Covers any areas in the Medical Group to ensure throughput by completing the necessary tasks.
• Affords assistance with the training of department employees, collaborates with the system trainers to assure ongoing training within the department.
• Serves as a Registration/Scheduler; Stays current with knowledge for HIPAA, Federal regulations, state regulations and hospital policy regarding admission and registration procedures and reimbursement criteria.
• Attends departmental meetings in order to enhance communications within departments.
• Performs registrations.
• Attends pay in-services (As assigned) and departmental meetings.
• Completes reports as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Associates in related healthcare field Preferred
• 3 years registration/patient accounts experience with an emphasis on customer service Required
• 2 years Training or Leadership Experience Preferred

Qualifications

• Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) - Certificate Required
