About the role

The Lead Registration Authority is responsible for monitoring RA operations, assisting with registration and establishment of LRA and TA accounts, ensuring quality control of documentation, coordinating validation and registration processes, maintaining master spreadsheets for Token Management, issuing and managing PKI certificates, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain alignment of RA operations with DISA audit requirements.
  • Aid in registering and establishing LRA and TA accounts.
  • Ensure quality control of documentation for vetting and approving LRA and TA applicants.
  • Coordinate with applicants and DIA personnel to control the validation and registration process.
  • Ensure TAs are designated in writing and approved in accordance with DIA policy.
  • Input data and pull reports from an external database.
  • Register and enroll users, issue certificates on DoD tokens, and manage certificates on multi-platform, multi-network systems.
  • Use computer hardware and software to revoke, suspend, and restore electronic keys.
  • Research in-house records, reference materials, archives, and automated databases as requested.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Issue Non-Person Entity (NPE), user, admin, group, role, VIP, and mobile code-signing certificates.
  • Support revocation, suspension, and restoration of certificates on Unclassified and/or Classified networks.
  • Support registration and/or termination of RAs and TAs.
  • Perform third-party key recovery.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance.
  • HS degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience; BS degree with 2-4 years; MS degree with 0-2 years.
  • One or more of the following DoD 8570 certifications: ComTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Systems Security Certified Professional (SCCP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
  • Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Associate or Full, Authorization Professional (CAP), Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300), Entrust or DoD PKI Registration Authority training certification, PKI Local Registration Authority (LRA) training, DEERS/RAPIDS operational training (if applicable), Insider Threat Awareness training, NIST 800-63 Digital Identity Guidelines familiarity.
