What You’ll Do
- Perform timely repairs and maintenance on reefer (refrigeration) units, including diesel-powered refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues on trailer reefer units
- Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) and service on A/C and refrigeration systems
- Conduct DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are in working condition
- Ensure vehicles and refrigeration units meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience working on reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge of reefer (diesel-powered refrigeration) units, PMs, and A/C systems
- EPA Section 608 Certification required
- Required experience repairing refrigeration units (diesel engine) on heavy-duty trailers
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
