Lead Product Marketing Manager

About the role
Veeco is currently seeking a Lead Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to develop business, product, and marketing plans for our award-winning laser anneal platforms. The candidate will collaborate with Engineering and other functional groups to create product roadmaps, strategies for market penetration, and product positioning. The Lead PMM will work to highlight the core differentiation of our products to drive revenue and market share gains, and will interface with customers, engineering, applications, product support, sales, and service.
Responsibilities
- Develops business & marketing plans, assesses strategies for market penetration and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue, and market share.
- Collaborates closely with functional groups via Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to develop new products and enhance existing products, as well as communicate critical market needs and timeline requirements.
- Understands technical and business aspects of customer device roadmaps/environments and assists with the development of strategies to meet business objectives.
- Drives Red Team/competitive analysis for specific product lines.
- Understands pricing scenarios and contributes towards building and protecting a leadership position in market share while enhancing profit margins.
- Works closely with Product Engineering/Applications/Process Development team to drive adoption of Continuous Improvement Program features/upgrades that maintain product differentiation against competition.
- Maintains a working knowledge of laser anneal systems process, hardware, and other aspects to gain technical entitlement with customers.
- Collaborates with Field Account teams to ensure synergy in approach for account partnership and product penetration.
- Responsible for release of products/sub-system components through the end of their product life cycle.
- Communicates key aspects of product to customers, senior management, and sales channels as needed.
Requirements
- BS degree in Physics or Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; MS degree and 8 years of experience or a PhD and 5 years of experience is required.
- Experience with Tier1 semiconductor customers is required.
- Demonstrated history of success in positioning and launching semiconductor capital equipment products that meet/exceed business objectives.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Semiconductor device knowledge and module process integration experience in logic and/or memory fabrication preferred.
- Understanding of Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP)/Implant/Diffusion process desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive team player, self-motivated with collaborative skills required.
- Must be able to travel within the US and other locations up to 20% of the time.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $171,000-$218,000, plus a bonus opportunity.
