Lead Product Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to join our dynamic team at Carta. This role involves working across our platform to ensure our offerings remain market-leading and transformative. You will work closely with product designers, engineers, and business partners to drive strategy, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful products.
Responsibilities
- Drive product strategy and roadmap alignment across the organization
- Prioritize and manage product backlog to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features that enhance user experience
- Conduct market research and analyze user feedback to inform product decisions
- Work with engineering teams to ensure timely and quality product releases
- Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders, including executive leadership
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product management in a high-paced, agile software development environment
- Proven track record of shipping impactful products
- Experience building products at startups in cross-functional teams with product designers, engineers, and business partners
- Empathetic and driven by solving problems for users
- Ability to deeply understand user needs and problems
- Systems thinking and holistic problem-solving approach
- Comfortable traversing between high-level strategy and detailed implementation
- Resourcefulness and ability to validate hypotheses without building unnecessary features
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product development processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of equity management and venture capital principles

Carta offers a competitive compensation package including a market-competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) ranges from $193,800 - 228,000 in San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; New York, NY to $204,000 - 240,000 in Seattle, WA.
