About the role
The Lead Product Insights Analyst will play a pivotal role in product decision-making, leveraging data to drive strategy and improve user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full product analytics lifecycle, ensuring data-driven decision-making is integrated across product development and business strategy.
- Own end-to-end product analytics, including metric definition, measurement frameworks, experimentation design, and insight generation.
- Analyze user behavior, engagement, adoption, retention, and friction points to identify opportunities for product and experience improvement.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and UX teams to define success metrics and ensure proper instrumentation is embedded in feature development.
- Build and maintain scalable dashboards, KPI frameworks, and self-service analytics tools to monitor product and business health.
- Translate complex datasets into strategic recommendations that influence roadmap prioritization and product direction.
- Collaborate with Go-to-Market, Data Engineering, and Commercial Analytics teams to connect product usage with revenue, retention, and customer value.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders through clear storytelling, reporting, and presentations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or related data-focused roles, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Expert-level SQL skills with strong proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, along with advanced Excel capabilities for modeling and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with product analytics platforms (e.g., Pendo or similar tools).
- Strong statistical and analytical foundation with the ability to design and interpret robust analyses and experiments.
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar environments.
- Ability to synthesize internal product data with external market and competitive insights to inform strategy.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and independently scoping complex analytical problems.
