About the role
Scribd is evolving from a document library to a platform for active knowledge building. As a Lead Product Analyst, you will partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to drive this transformation. You will define success metrics, de-risk product bets, and translate user behavior into clear product direction.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmap through data-informed insights
- Translate high-level product bets into clear measurement frameworks, defining success metrics for core user journeys at a company level
- Support prioritization by sizing opportunities, modeling impact, and clarifying trade-offs in ambiguous problem spaces
- Drive decision-making in zero-to-one environments
- Develop analytical approaches where data may be sparse or evolving, creating structure in new product areas
- Identify leading indicators of success for emerging ML/LLM-powered experiences
- Help the team navigate uncertainty by combining data, experimentation, and strong analytical judgment
- Own experimentation and product learning
- Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests and beyond) to validate product hypotheses and guide iteration
- Partner with Product and ML teams to measure the impact of new features, workflows, and personalization systems
- Establish best practices for experimentation, ensuring rigor while enabling rapid learning cycles
- Build foundational measurement systems
- Define KPIs and metrics frameworks for new and evolving product experiences
- Lead efforts around event instrumentation, tracking taxonomy, and data quality to ensure trustworthy insights
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and ML teams to ensure scalable, reliable data infrastructure
- Translate data into influence
- Communicate insights clearly and persuasively to cross-functional and executive stakeholders
- Provide actionable recommendations that directly inform product direction and roadmap decisions
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product analytics or a related field, with a track record of influencing product and business outcomes
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments
- Deep expertise in experimentation, including A/B testing, hypothesis design, and statistical analysis
- Experience working on early-stage or zero-to-one product initiatives (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or R
- Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) and building scalable dashboards
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with machine learning and natural language processing technologies
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience with agile methodologies and iterative development processes

Pay
The reasonably expected salary range for this role is between $119,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $203,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].
Schedule
Flexible work schedule with occasional in-person attendance required.
